The way I saw it was Hart's fumble which led to the goal was as a consequence of Toure's unnecessary diversion of the ball, which was clearly going directly to Hart. Had Kolo left or properly cleared the ball then there would be no Hart fukup.

Give the guy a break, mistakes happen. He's generally been top notch this season.

This. Toure done it, but Joe looks the mug - while I grant you he may feel he should have done better, even with a very late deflection. Personally I see no basis whatsoever to depose Joe over this.

While we're trumpeting Van Der Rag, who was it against where he fumbled a cross in from his right hand side, under no pressure, and conceded a goal? It was earlier this season.

Who'd be a goalkeeper? Forwards can miss umpteen chances, midfielders can miss passes and it's no big deal. A keeper makes one mistake and you pay. He's still one of the best in the Prem.

My issue with the mistake isn't dropping the cross particularly, he could have still avoided total embarassment it's that he didn't drop on the ball, either way though he's (rightly imo) our number 1 and will continue, regularly rotating keepers is a recipe for disater.

I agree. He should of been jumping onto that ball and clearing out their striker in the process.

Still, he's been first class all season.

All goalkeepers make mistakes.

Last season when Joe was on loan and Shay had a full season in goal Joe was voted goalkeeper of the season.
They are both great keepers but if you have to keep 1 happy it has to be Joe

Joe makes tons of awesome saves and does quite well. I don't think he should be strung up just due to this one mistake.

The people who are blaming Kolo on the goal is crazy it was Joes fault. The ball was bouncing into his stomach so he should of held onto the ball. No point passing the blame onto Kolo for that it was Joes mistake.
We have Wolves at home in the next game and I wouldnt mind seeing Shay get his chance in the game. Give Joe the FA Cup replay the following week take him out of the spotlight for a bit. I would think Shay would be in with Mancini now talking about his chances of playing now after that mistake and his future with the club if it isnt going to get a chance I would expect him to be heading out of the club in this window.

Made a howler v Blackburn and bounced back in no time at all, Our Joe doesnt lack self confidence. Will be in goal V Wolves and will continue to impress. Every keeper makes the odd clanger, lets not forget all the top class saves he has done recently
