Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Can't believe how cold it is. Camisole, tshirt, cardigan and a big fluffy jumper and my hands and nose are blue! Just put the heating on for a little while and wrapped myself in a throw. Are we in for a very cold autumn and winter then?
 
I got home last night after ferrying the young this! boys around and Mrs this! had had the heating on "just for half an hour"... my arse. it was like a sweaty sweat shop on sauna-special sunday... as many in here seem to think, "it's not bloody winter yet, put a jumper on!!"

Just got home after being away for a week, house was freezing so banged the heating on. Move back to my uni house next Tuesday, the landlord was fixing the boiler today so I hope that's fixed otherwise that shall not be fun.
