If its ever cold I just throw a jacket/jumper on and stick my hat on as well! Central heating just seems like a waste of money to me.

I dont like it too warm in the house at all but its got to go on sometimes mate otherwise you will fuck the house up, damp and stuff. I got home tonight and it just had that slightly cold damp feeling. Just put it on for an hour, feels much better. Not the temperature so much, just the feel of the place

Not central heating but just got an electric fire suite and plugged it in £492 all in.

Not had a fire just central heating last couple of years but with Mrs Moon being ill I thought I'd better treat her.

She fancied another gas fire but we would need a balanced flue one, prices from £1.5k and between £250-£500 to fit....electric wins. Had it on last night and tonight to try it out. They've come on a long way from glowing bars.

I think you need to elaborate. Either you're mum is cold and dying so she's put the heating on, which tbf is not at all unreasonable. Or she's cold and put the heating on and you being a bit mard think you're in the Sahara without any shade or water. You're not ginger are you?
