Turned the stat up a tiny bit so it would come on, then secretly turned it back down again. The war over the stat will go on right through the winter :)

We had ours set at 18 last winter, mainly because it was set at 21 the year before and the winter gas bill was fucking huge. I might put it up to 19 if I'm feeling extravagant.

Breaking heat records all week here. Shut the job site down for tomorrow and Monday's a civic holiday. Off to the out-laws for the weekend, get out on the lake. Can't wait to freeze my bollocks off in a couple of months.

You're lucky my choice is central heating or gas fire in the living room. I usually try and wait until november (and last untl early October) but I'm struggling this week, especially today. 2 Jupers and a coat and still thinking about it...

Anymore. Everyone should have some decent level of double glazing wall and roof insulation. Learn to aclimase to the weather or put a fucking jumper on. Stop wasting what little energy we have and forcing us to rely on russian gas.
