Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

This week the heating has been on for a few hours a day, if it gets any colder I am starting a big fire in the garden get rid of some wood and paper and save some money at the same time.

Yesterday a very pleasant and sunny 16°c. Today rain and a high of 5°c.
I succumbed, the heat is on.

the temperature control on my conservatory radiator is turned to zero but when we put the heating on
for the house it still comes on,i hate having it on when nobody is sat in there,which is 80 % of the time.

No mither off the Octopus yet .. so as hot as a chocolate fountain in here with no marshmallows to absorb the heat.
