Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

No its not cold but its been so constantly wet as fuck outside, torrential as fuck with me the last few days, that it has to go on a bit for the sake of the house else it gets that manky feel. Plus laundry needs drying, and no tumble dryer here
Have you got a dehumidifier? Will help with the manky feel and dry clothes better than central heating.

Nope. Everybody has been told to put hoodies on. Whilst I sit here in shorts. No chance it's going on.

I put it on to dry some clothes yesterday.

lt was like the end of the world when the mrs got home. I could have shat in her dinner and I would have got a friendlier reception.

My hugzee city fleece & thick socks during the day & heavy duvet at night, fortunately I live in 1st floor flat where it never goes below 16 degrees during the day.
Fair play. You're made of stearn stuff. As soon as my thermostat goes below 20°c, the heating's on for an hour. Get yourself an electric blanket with an All night setting. Game changer! Take care, mate.

No. Never before the 1st October and never after 1st may.

Although the wife is doing the menopause thing so we usually put her in the middle of a room and we all warm our hands near her.
