I have a pre payment meter for the gas...I'm going through 20 quid every three days.
Thank you for your adviceThe boiler is the easy bit.
It is the bit that costs the most money and the bit where "Boiler throwers" do best.
However,
Controls is what makes or breaks a heating system.
Controls is also what will make or break your wallet.
A boiler install is no good if the rest of the plumbing is dirty, old, knackered etc.
Whomever you are getting to put the boiler in, have a good discussion with them and get them to explain what boiler it is and why it suits and what they will do to ensure it mates with your system as good as possible.
Ideally, if you have a friend who is a plumber/hating engineer, or just a nerd, then get them to look at what is being done.
You are forum savvy. there a lots of DIY forums you might sign up to and show them what you are getting into before letting the ink dry.
But, a few quid on controls will be well worth it and in short time as well.
That is a lot but in your condition you need to keep warmI have a pre payment meter for the gas...I'm going through 20 quid every three days.
Why can’t you have a normal one? That’s extremely expensiveI have a pre payment meter for the gas...I'm going through 20 quid every three days.

I haven't paid for electric for years...THEIR meter was faulty. So they put a new "smart" electric meter in last year...and it STILL didn't charge me. I've just been sent a bill for over 3 grand. That is a lot but in your condition you need to keep warm

These rules set out when a supplier can charge you for any shortfalls in payment for energy you’ve used.I haven't paid for electric for years...THEIR meter was faulty. So they put a new "smart" electric meter in last year...and it STILL didn't charge me. I've just been sent a bill for over 3 grand.
Thanks for that, mate. Yep...they've sent nothing until now. They gave me incorrect instructions about prepayments, too. These rules set out when a supplier can charge you for any shortfalls in payment for energy you’ve used.
You cannot be charged for energy used more than 12 months ago if:
Suppliers must make these rules clear in their contract terms and conditions.
- you have not had an accurate bill for it before, even though you asked for one
- you have not been informed about any charges due via a statement of account before
- your Direct Debit amount was previously set too low to cover any charges due
That’s from the ofcom website
It'll probably be something and nothing engineer should soon sort bit of teething problem, I won't say chill out :-), but I reckon will soon be sorted for you.I am fuming today , the boiler doesnt have a qr code to connect the wifi for the thermostat so i cant set the timer
Supposed to be brand new , e-mailed the boiler people i brought it from and the maker of the boiler , she has said some boilers need another accessory to set the timer , depending on the age of the boiler , i have to send her the serial number and she will investigate , hmmm
I am reaching the very end of my tether, seriously losing the will to live , why cant bad things stop happening to me
Thank you , i needed that xIt'll probably be something and nothing engineer should soon sort bit of teething problem, I won't say chill out :-), but I reckon will soon be sorted for you.
