Has it disappointed you that were not expanding the stadium,

I think we will see an expanded Etihad Stadium, no doubt about that, but I would hazard a guess it wouldn't be until we have the new Training Complex linked by the bridge over Alan Turing Way. By that time, you'll have a working (or at least you'd hope so) Metrolink system that will increase the number of visitors to the area significantly. Add to that any other plans that might be afoot for the East Stand Car Park or the North Stand Car Park/Tennis Centre area of the site.

Couple that with one of the best training complex's in the world and there is no doubt in my mind that the Stadium would also reflect the status and vision that our owner and Chairman share.
I'd take a punt that in 5 years time, we'll have the best Stadium (expanded and looking a bit different) and the best training complex in the UK.

It took 13 pages for this.

I think the club are right not to rush into an expansion. Most of the league games have sold out, but a lot only just. We wouldn't fill a 60,000 seater at the moment.
Looking from my seat in CB3 I think that the 4 corners of level 3 could be filled in giving 1000 to1200 extra seats if that is possible plus a safe standing area would give City a 55000 ground with good views IE no one sat in the gods like New unt or Man unt.

Always thought that but I was told you need those corners to ventilate the pitch, otherwise we wouldnt have the best pitch in the league.

Well the club official is talking shit coz i was at both and 3rd tiers was not sold out

The biggest issue we now face having started to sellout all but a handful of cup games, will be the reduced capacity while expanding. I did hear on one of these threads last season that the club looked into adding seats without expanding and it seems around 2,000 can be added. So perhaps step one is to do that shortly.....I'm sure it could be done without short term loss to capacity as soon as thats finished close one end and with luck we only lose 4k off our current capacity while works going on, assuming each end holds 6,000

Disappointed ? No. Think we need to see some continued success before expanding the stadium. I'm pretty sure it'll be way down the list with the owners....we already have the 5th highest capacity in the Prem.

I couldn't see the top of the Colin Bell but the 3rd tier of the East was definitely full.

And as has been pointed out probably on every page of this thread, sold out doesn't always equal someone sat in the seat, especially when you've got 30,000 enrolled in a fixed cup scheme.

Do you know those empty seats were empty all through the game? 1% of the crowd going out for a piss or a brew at the same time would provide 500 empty seats. Probably at a time when nothing's happening on the pitch, so you're looking around at them all empty.

Even the 17:00 kick off for the Sporting match, nobody was in the ground with 10 mins to go, but it was chock full by half time. They even opened EL3 for the Ajax fans and day trippers.

I think they've got the ticketing policy pretty much bang on this season.

I've still got a rag mate texting me about "thousands" of us leaving early in the Sunderland game after MotD showed a handful of people walking out in front of the press box just before Balotelli scored

You cant be getting to many games then mate, Ive been every home game this year and even the sell outs have had loads of emoty seats.

Id like to hear from the club what they call a sell out... because seemingly its not when all the seats are taken. Either that or we have a few thousnad SC holders who are not turning up every game.
Have you actually counted them? "A few thousand" empty seats looks much worse than what we get, which is perhaps a few hundred empty seats.
