20,000 to 30,000 empty seats two years running in the Carling Cup. Nearly 10,000 empty seats against Ajax. 16,000 empty seats against Bilbao.
Yep and the fact they didn't sell out 8 games in the league this year.

My point, which you are clearly both ignoring, is that we only need to fill 44500 ish seats give or take the away support and we cant even do that. The Rags have about 75000 to fill.

If we had to fill 60000 for example cup games would be appallingly empty. FFS we couldnt even fill the stadium, with discounted offers for a cup quarter final with a semi against the Rags at Wembly for the first time in 30 years as a carrot!

I dont believe that the home games have all sold out - far too many empty seats - groups of them sometimes - to blame it on seasoncard holders not turning up.
Look I'll keep this easy for the simple of mind:

The Reading 1/4 final was last season, our gates are higher this season unsurprisingly.

A sell out is a sell out, some sold out a month in advance, the club have confirmed this at 2 separate points if blue meetings, an average of 1-4k SC holders do not attend each game. All but one league game has sold out this season.

If you wish to argue either of the above, you're either a rag or clueless. They are facts.

Yes they have and have all been announced as sell outs days before. As someone who frequents the ticket planner, typically only third tier (and a few second tier) seats are available, the rest are season ticket holders, yet most of our empty seats appear down in the first tier. Why would the club put the sold out signs up 4 days before a game if they could get extra income from more sales? The only one that hasn't been an *advanced* sell out in the league was Wednesday night's match against West Brom.

i dont get what the big thing is about who has the bigger stadium.

do we have a better chance winning things with the likes of Samaras & Corradi with a 100k seater stadium, or what we have now?

Keep it as it is, until we sell out every game and demand for tickets is high for every game, not just saturday afternoon kick offs, i mean midweek europa league (hopefully we dont see that competition again for a while) in the fucking snow.

id rather have 5k less in a 47k stadium, than 25k less in a 70k.

Selling out every league game isn't high enough?

You cant be getting to many games then mate, Ive been every home game this year and even the sell outs have had loads of emoty seats.

Id like to hear from the club what they call a sell out... because seemingly its not when all the seats are taken. Either that or we have a few thousnad SC holders who are not turning up every game.
Which is exactly what we have and has been confirmed by the club at points of blue.

You'd know that if you went to any big big blue.

Did you mean to put a comma after any ?.... If so it changes the context, one would be sarcasm, the other just suggests im a 15ft blue thing.. thanks.

But well done, you now measure how big a fan is by how many time's he/she attends a meeting.. what next ? how many times you post on a forum ?

i feel so foolish now super blue Swp has pointed that out, i feel a right dick going all those games now.

We have to improve our matchday revenue and stadium expansion will also mean the creation of more corporate boxes, which is where top teams make a bomb.

We could probably sell out a 55,000 seater for around half of our Premier League games now, I think we'd get 47,000-52,000 for most others.

This is never going to happen, United had 16,000 empty seats against Bilbao and they claim to have the most fans in the world. We just have to accept cup games will not always sell out, it's the same at most clubs. Barcelona had 44,000 empty seats for a Copa Del Rey game this season. That's nearly our entire stadium in empty seats to put it into perspective.

I think we could sell out a 55k seater also, but when the going gets tough, the fans stop showing, and we can tell. A full stadium every league game, with high ticket demand even with it being announced and a expansion should be thought of. I think at the moment we should hold off.

So have i, sit in north, level two. You can see loads of empty seat's from their. I just dont buy that it's season card holders not turning up... even if the points of blue super fan meeting says so... two seats at the end of my row are almost always empty, even in a sell out. Unless those seats are owned by a SC holder who has never been, that seat isnt often sold.

I have missed 4 or 5 games this season due to working late. Not been able to give the ticket to someone else as it is on my person, so it has been empty. Sure there are plenty of people in the same boat.
