Has Thatcher died?

I saw a newspaper picture from the political campaign
A woman was kissing a child, who was obviously in pain
She spills with compassion, as that young child's
face in her hands she grips
Can you imagine all that greed and avarice
coming down on that child's lips

Well I hope I don't die too soon
I pray the Lord my soul to save
Oh I'll be a good boy, I'm trying so hard to behave
Because there's one thing I know, I'd like to live
long enough to savour
That's when they finally put you in the ground
I'll stand on your grave and tramp the dirt down

When England was the whore of the world
Margaret was her madam
And the future looked as bright and as clear as
the black tarmacadam
Well I hope that she sleeps well at night, isn't
haunted by every tiny detail
'Cos when she held that lovely face in her hands
all she thought of was betrayal

And now the cynical ones say that it all ends the same in the long run
Try telling that to the desperate father who just squeezed the life from his
only son
And how it's only voices in your head and dreams you never dreamt
Try telling him the subtle difference between justice and contempt
Try telling me she isn't angry with this pitiful discontent
When they flaunt it in your face as you line up for punishment
And then expect you to say "Thank you" straighten up, look proud and pleased
Because you've only got the symptoms, you haven't got the whole disease
Just like a schoolboy, whose head's like a tin-can
filled up with dreams then poured down the drain
Try telling that to the boys on both sides, being blown to bits or beaten and
maimed
Who takes all the glory and none of the shame

Well I hope you live long now, I pray the Lord your soul to keep
I think I'll be going before we fold our arms and start to weep
I never thought for a moment that human life could be so cheap
'Cos when they finally put you in the ground
They'll stand there laughing and tramp the dirt down

You're out of order bringing my Mother into this but i'll reply this once.

My Mother didn't send teenagers to their deaths in order to attract votes.
My Mother didn't use soldiers to batter British subjects on home soil
My Mother didn't decimate whole regions of the country to smash the unions and remove the rights of the workers.
My Mother doesn't have two poncey kids who pissed about on the back of taxpayers money whilst poorer members of society were left to rot.
And my Mother didn't leave a political legacy that has massive social repercussions to this day.

If you want me to show some compassion for Thatchers children when the old crow turns up her toes then you'll be waiting a long time

Good reply,Stonerblue.

BB2,i take it you are mid to late twentys in age.
If you had lived through that old cows reign, you may feel differently.

A bottle of bubbly will be popped in this small part of Oz,when she descends to the hot place.
Not sorry if that offends.

1) I am 28 YOA. Many of my family members went from abject poverty to millionaires in her reign because they were prepared to work their arses off and take advantage of the freedom she gave them in terms of social mobility.

2) Seeing as you've dumped this country to go and live in the land of skin cancer and crass oafs I hardly think you are in a position to comment on this place now.

3) If you choose to hold a celebration of someones death then thats your choice I don't think you should make it public on here though.

I will keep it short

1) BULLSHIT! You have "many" members of your family that became millionaires under Thatcher? Yeah, right.

2) I left the UK aged 21,because the place was a fucking zoo, thanks to your hero.
I now have a great life in the land of skin cancer and oafs, that i built on my own,not by sucking on the tits of wealthy relatives.
You keep craping on about how shit the UK is becoming, grow some balls and move if it shits you that much.(Just don't move to OZ,please)

3) I will have a big party, what you think about that,i could not give less of a fuck about if i tried.

-- Thu Oct 21, 2010 11:32 am --

Right- I want to make this quite clear to everyone on this site as I feel it needs to be said.

Its likely Thatcher will die in the next 12 months. If we have a raft of threads on here 'celebrating' her death I will complain bitterly to the site owners/mods and possibly higher.

WHY- can I not mention a certain air disaster in 1958 'cos thats going too far that is' yet the very same people on here are positively itching for her to die.....double standards everyone.

Shame and you all.

what the fuck are you talking about? the air disaster is a very intentional way of winding up the rags, not capitalists.

my contribution to this thread is based in FACT

i'm certainly not going to be 'happy' when she croaks - afterall, she is a human being.

.

I'd be interested to know how your relatives made millions?

Why didn't social mobility go up during her premiership then? I'd like to see you find one academic study that supports that assessment because even the present day Conservative party does not make that claim.

I'll hazard a guess and say the reply to this will be, 'we got to buy our council house and become a homeowner'.

The reality of the sell-off meant the bank then owned their ass'

One manufactured kitchens/bedroom furniture. One had a building firm and now owns over 400 properties. Both had nothing in the mid 70's and were very wealthy by the late 80's.

Shame and you all.

Please elaborate and who you would go to to complain?

The police? mummy and daddy?

Pure naffing coincidence. Every era produces millionaires - I'm one now. But I will join the celebration when the most evil person to have ruled this country (and that is saying something) finally dies.
