Has Thatcher died?

Like all politicians she did what she thought was right for the country.

whether it affected you or not. wishing death on someone is sick and very sad.

Mark, I fixed the first quote from you, and for the second, as she murdered societies and communities in all parts of the UK that didnt have a tory majority, i will be raising a glass or two to commemorate her lifetime achievements when she passes on to the next life.
(though if the Labour party had stuck to its core principles then the country wouldnt be in this mess (who de-regulated the banks again?), and her "other" son wouldnt now be bringing the unemployment levels back to the milk snatchers dream levels.

fuck her i'll be cheering. Anyone who thinks that is insensitive doesnt have a clue about the the reality of that period and the pain and suffering she wrought.

I can't think of another human being whose death would evoke the same feeling. Well done to those with big plans for the happy day.

She is and was unpopular, BB2, get over it. Just because your uncle sold a couple of toilets in the 80s doesn't transform her into a saint for everyone else. Also, 'many' isn't two, unless that's all you can count up to, as your name would suggest.

Hated people's deaths are generally welcomed, although the news might shock you. If you happen not to have a problem with this woman, perhaps you can stretch your obviously retarded imagination and accept that maybe you'd be happy to hear of, say, the death of a person you felt had done some terrible things, and work your way to a general conclusion from there. Or you could retain your solipsistic world view in which all truth is directly related to your own experience and no-one else's, and this and only this constitutes the objective world (but unfortunately doesn't explain why many people think you are wrong).

And a comparison between Thatcher and anyone else is ingenuous to say the least. "She's better than Hitler" may be true, but is irrelevant within the context of "Will you be happy when she dies?"

A very good post Hacneyslim. It's a very brave idea suggesting the world doesn't revolve around a selfish and insular halfwit, but I'm with you.

Selfish, self-centred, indoctrinated morons.

I wish each and every one of you bastards who would celebrate the death of a politician's (or ex's) death the very worst... the most painful... the absolute worst of the worst deaths.

You're evil and sick.

I remember Ric saying to me in a pm once about his wild ramblings in the Times "I've sold out, but I have a family to feed now".

Socialism only seems to suit people up to a point...
