would be funny but he is a liberal not a lefty
His "crime" is to care about other people - imagine that

Is this ironic or is it just my sense of humour?

BREAKINGFinal Score replaced with The Repair Shop
Final Score has been replaced by The Repair Shop at 4:30pm on the BBC One schedule.
It comes after presenter Jason Mohammad said he would not be presenting the show.
You’re easily amused.Funny a fuck watching all the Lefties getting upset at cancel culture.
its the fucking smirk that gives him away - all these wankers are so sure of themselves they cannot help but smirk thinking they are getting one over on us
Talking of abuse to presenters... Here's what Adam Hills had tweeted at him last night after their segment on Lineker/Small boats crisis:
I would respect him more if he offered to put up a 100 or so refugees in temporary accomodation at his mansion. But they are.
They have the power and we have fuck all, what are we going to do about it? The answer is nothing, nothing that'll seriously bother them.
Perversely it works in their favour, while kids go hungry and folk shiver in their homes, all anyone is talking about is Gary Lineker, net worth £26 million.
This is a spat between different wings of the same fucking class.
I don’t disagree in the main, GDM. On the contrary, you make very valid points.Actually early 1930s Germany is a worthwhile analogy. Not what it descended into when it grew in confidence and became increasingly malign as it was further consumed by evil; but what it started as. Reducing personal liberties, suppressing freedom of speech and blaming particular groups for societies ills.
Don’t be so complacent that the current direction of travel cannot continue along a similar path. I’m sure plenty of Jewish people dismissed the early days of Nazi government as just a phase. Don’t be overwhelmed with the benefit of hindsight and assume that what the Nazi party became was inevitable. Maybe it could have been stopped embarking on its genocidal course if enough decent people had spoken out when they could.
So yes, it’s absolutely balanced to caution against history repeating itself. Not because we are at the concentration camp stage, but to try and ensure that we don’t end up there.
Gets better and better, well done to the BBC they have got rid of all the multifarious and gobby pundits at a stroke.
WONDERFUL.
First off I must say great post, I enjoyed reading that.
I don't really dissagree with much of that. Except to say personally I still don't think it was the right analogy to make and that Lineaker did it deliberately to get the reaction that it has. He could have said the rhetoric is similar to that of many modern countries and he dissagreed with it.
Anyway , it looks like things are rapidly escalating and drawing in more people, and neither side will back down.
Popcorn time.
