Has the BBC become a Tory tool?

I agree but that isnt the issue. Is it?
No it isn't, because all of this bullshit has been manufactured so that we talk about anything other than the actual issue.

The worst criticism you could give of Lineker is that his comments have basically allowed the government to shift the attention from their horrific policies to the comments of an ex-footballer.

Like Neville and others, Lineker uses his media profile to air political views. I've no problem with that. He works for a national broadcaster though and so there is a difference. Jump to itv or go back to BT and no problem for me. But you don't get two be in BBC as it is and use it to sell your own message.

Personally I wouldn't employ anyone who refused to work on the football today if they were contracted to. Give opportunity to others and let them find their feet. Let the football be the product, not the personality. Not that there's a single person I'd miss from the list of people who have withdrawn.

Potential to be the least biased and most informative motd in years if they manage it right.
He hasn’t though has he? He didn’t appear on the BBC to say what he said. He was on Twitter which to my knowledge, is fuck all to do with the BBC.

The issue is getting lost. The issue is lineker comparing trying to solve a problem with nazi germany. Ridiculous
Ill be voting the tories out at the first opportunity for what its worth .

So now your bollocks about Lineker wanting no checks on illegal immigrants has been called out the issue was Lineker using the same comparison as holocaust survivor Joan Salter did in January, making national headlines?

Lineker signed a 5 year deal with the BBC under which he was bound to maintain political impartiality and having snubbed his nose at that on a number of occasions, the arrogant twat’s latest indiscretion finally was the straw that broke the camels back. Good. I’m fed up with the smug tosser. And btw, it’s totally irrelevant whether you agree with his views or not. As for those boycotting the BBC now ‘in solidarity’, I’d fire the lot of them…bandwagon virtue signalling prats.
Nothing to do with him being ex spurs….

Also Per this thread by someone who worked in the BBCs editorial complaints department for 20 years, a sports presenter talking about politics on social media is literally the example they use of something that doesn’t breach guidelines.

Linekers a prick.

We REALLY do have a huge problem with illegal immigration. We cant have boat loads coming over without any sort of limits or checks. We have to do something, we need to find the ones who need our help and restrict the ones that dont.
Lineker saying what he said isnt a help.
Oh yes it is if it exposes the total over reaction by the Tory cunts to the problem and the vile language they use.
Hundreds of millions want to come here!
Fuck off.
