Has the BBC become a Tory tool?

MOTD tonight cut down to a 20 minute highlights programme. Just goes to show that the usual run time of 1 hour plus, is bulked up by Lineker and his mates talking shit and treating the viewers like cretins.

It's not been a good programme since the days of Jimmy Hill and Kenneth Wolstenholme.

It’s not just the punditry, it’s the post match interviews that go too.

On your last point, with your username I’d expect you to have that opinion! :)

I remember when everyone played in black, grey, and white on a grey pitch, and the cameraman usually missed at least one goal per match.

I've never cared what (supposedly impartial) footballers think about a game. To be honest I'm not particularly bothered what players or managers have to say for themselves on camera, beyond "The ball came across and I hit it into the net" or "I've just opened a boutique Brian". (Credit to Monty Python for that one)

Show me good moves, saves, goals and sending offs, and move on to the next game. The BBC is obsessed with spending our money on 'celebrity' hangers on like Shearer and Co.

These pundits and commentators really need a reality check, do they really think people care if they are not around?? People want the football coverage, take for instance next Tuesday I would say most here switch on at the start of the game, off at HT then at full time onto here, they are really not needed.

After creaming the most financially of any sports pundit working for the BBC, he's now looked at his bank balance and decided to do a Gary Neville and test the water as a politician.
Just give me the football I pay towards without the moral high ground please
