1982 was a good one for me personally. I was working in the South of France at the time and really caught the flavour of it but you Shirley can't beat an England win in England - even though I was too young to be watching it.

The worst World cup for me by a country mile.Too much cheating,very poor referees,officials and some awful football.Piss poor.

98 was my first world cup and it's been my favourite. Although 2006 was decent.

My first world cup was 1982 and there has been great world cups since then, but in terms of great games, goals etc. this world cup has had the most. Many of those other world cups had some great games but quite a few boring ones, mainly because a fear of losing and a lot of poor teams. These days football talent is more globally spread making the world cup a bigger and better tournament.

its not mate, footballing i'd give it a 6/10 as world cups go, from the pundits 1/10 and from FIFA 0/10 how embarrassing the outside of stadiums were incomplete then the ticket fiasco of some knob running from the back door of a hotel after being questioned on touting charges so on these three points its 7/30 not good, FIFA have to sort their act out first of all by suspending the quatar world cup and then to retire off blatter however this will not happen and coruption will continue and the game will suffer as a result
