The only reason some people think that is because AJ doesn't get enough starts here. Ben Arfa offers moments of immense quality but isn't nearly consistent enough.

I am not sure if AJ can produce something like that.

& regarding Bale, he maybe better option if City want to counter attack teams, but this is not the way City play now.

Ben Arfa is better IMO for teams who park the bus, which most of the teams do now when they play City.

Ben Arfa, for most the season went missing in the tough games,granted he`s scored some great goals,but not a regular in the Newcastle side, so probably wouldnt even make the current city bench.
