Have City bought any real bargains?

If...If...Only.............

We could be today, speaking of the mangler after his home debut v chelsea, in the same terms......

No we couldn’t. Kompany looked promising after one match and then went on to cement himself as a vital part of the spine for season after season.

How far we going back? King Colin, Franny and Buzzer didn't work out too bad :-)

King Colin (Bury) £45k , Franny(Bolton) £60k , Buzzer(Swindon) £35k , Nelly Young(Youth team) zero , Tony Coleman(Doncaster) zero, Alan Oakes(youth team) zero, George Heslop (Everton) £15k , Mike Doyle (youth team) zero , Pardoe (youth team) zero , Book (Plymouth) £15k Mulhearn/Dowd (zero)

£170k for one of the best league sides ever assembled , and they were the last all English team to win the title , and we don't have any history :)

Ever? Not just within the incumbent ownership. Did you have to look up how much Nasri was sold for? I genuinely wouldn’t have known... Besides, every player has their price. Ronaldo left both United and Madrid. Perhaps they’re not as big as City.
So you're using Cristiano Ronaldo who is one of the top 5 players in history to back your point up? United only sold him for a world record fee and Madrid didnt make a profit on him.

Ian Bishop - the second coming - think we may even have got him on a free second time.

He was sublime at Wembley in the play off final, and also ran the promotion game at Blackburn the next season when everyone was losing their heads shitting themselves. An incredible passer of the ball amongst the dross quality of the lower leagues.
The FA cup game at Maine Road against Leeds - what a hit!
