Have we missed Robinho?

I understand what you say and don`t disagree completely BUT like all Brazilian players, Robinho puts his country before his club. This meant he needed regular starts in City`s 1st team so as to keep his place in the Brazil team. Mancini couldn`t guarantee this so his only option was to go on loan where he could be certain of starting most games.
Anyway, I for one would love to see him back with us next season.

Yeah I know that side of it, but it was a catch 22 cos he needed to justify his starting place in our team.
We'd all love him to come back and consistantly do what everyone knows he can do, but whats annoyed most blues are his negative comments bout us since leaving.

Negative comments !! Who was interpreting his comments? Who was spinning his comments? Everything these days is spun by the media to make a story. Unless someone behind the scenes at City (Cook/Marwood ?) were having a go at Roby then I find it difficult to believe his comments, at worst, they were probably taken out of context.

He has'nt done anything for us this season anyway, for whatever reason, so, no, we have'nt missed him.

bluemoonrises - glad we had this little difference of opinion, at least we are on the same side.
Off to bedebyes now.

Which Robinho? The one who plays when he have to show something or the one who shy away from every tackle?

Much can be said, and have been said about Robinho, but for instance he scored more in his first season than Bellamy this year. He was good in a very rollercoaster first season, by rollercoaster I mean the whole team. Ofc he would be useful, like it or not.

Talented and at times mesmerising though he was, reluctantly I have to say he was too lightweight and couldn't be arsed too much of the time, so no.

Same feelings about Elano, but less so. He did put a shift in occassionally and we do miss his creativity in midfield in my view. If we had Ireland or Johnson filling that role it wouldn't be so bad, but neither of them have been able to do so for different reasons. With all our current midfielders (with the possible exception of grandad Viera) we don't have anyone who can pick a decent forward pass.

Tin hat on here, but I think that Robbie could do an excellent job for us as an attacking midfielder.
Some of his assists last season were fantastic - as good as if not better than his goals.
He could also be expected to chip in with say 15 goals of his own, similar to Lampard, excluding the penalties.
Barry and NDJ to provide defensive cover that you are not going to get from Robby.
