The last rabbit I bought was not so long ago from a butcher in Todmorden, but frozen. In Ewing Towers rabbit goes into the same category as black pudding - I'm the only one who eats it! Yer can get rabbit in most supermarkets in France, or could!

My local polish supermarket sells it, used to be commonplace in traditional butchers but majority of them now source from Macwilliams butcher which means they get it in frozen.

I love it in curries and in a tomatoe based stew with loads of paprika and fresh herbs. They are in abundance round here, as are deer, it's very tempting to get a gun or crossbow

Been thinking that I used to like rabbit pie as a kid but you don't see them for sale in butchers anymore.
