Having a favourite child

For any bluemooners of the more advancing years with children - at what point did you decide your favourite child?

Is it wrong to have one you prefer more? Genetics are a funny old thing, when siblings can be so different to each other. one is maybe kinder or has more of a personality you like so you prefer spending time with them, one could be feisty or just off the rails.

Statistically %43 of parents prefer the youngest child.

My middle child is class, funny and fairly chilled out and certainly the easiest.

My youngest, 30, has always, since she could speak, told the eldest, 33, that she was adopted. Hours of family merriment to be had by all.

Mum and my sister fought like cat and dog for years. She said things to her I wouldn’t have dared. She largely left the family at 18 and hasn’t been around much since. Mum and I are far closer. It’s sad but I know people in far worse situations.
