im laughing at all the people saying hes now crap, when a week ago he was the new messi. Chelsea have got themselves a class player

This! Fair play Chelsea. A real signal of intent. Will be interesting to see who we go for now!

*6th placed league finish- A lot to do with previous manager AVB
* 25 points behind leaders
*parked the bus in semi final and final fluked a win through pens in final, robben missed penalty- They won the champions league I wish we had no matter how bad we played
*no manager- Obviously gonna get a high profile manager Guardiola ?
*poor fans

Class? Maybe a decent player! He has been playing in are poorer league and everyone knows the premier is the hardest league to play in, good luck to him I'm looking forward to seeing him play....

I'm pretty sure Guardiola said yes to Roman (not sure if this summer or later).

Was Guardiola on a rolling contract at Barca? If he wasn't then Roman has a bit of compensation to pay out.

Year to Year rolling contract, it wont be long and a lot of clubs will also embrace this approach, i bet Red Rom wishes all his managers were on it, that's for sure.

We should be disappointed, but also VERY excited at what has transpired.

The club have nothing to beat ourselves up over. We will be the talk of this window soon enough.

On two separate asides, this deal proves once and for all United are shopping at a different table.

And Chelsea resuming big spending will only help our own cause re FFPR. Safety in numbers![/quote
Yawn yawn yawn

Isn't Guardiola meant to be burnt out though and that is why he left Barca?

This was my point, to me shows real lack of ambition for such a young lad. If him signing is true then I'm glad we missed out.

how does it show a lack of ambition, when hughes was our manager and tevez signed we werent saying that showed a lack of ambition we were saying it showed ambition that hes joining a project. Chelsea are gonna have a huge investment in there own project to try and turn around there fortunes- you could say he has ambition for trying to get chelsea back to there best

Note how the media say 155-200 grand a week is sorted for us then change it to 110 for Chelsea?

Can someone tell me/us that he's really off to Chelsea, even if you read the papers right?

RVP, are you sure we need someone of his ilk?

Bale, great, real alternative.
