This was my point, to me shows real lack of ambition for such a young lad. If him signing is true then I'm glad we missed out.

how does it show a lack of ambition, when hughes was our manager and tevez signed we werent saying that showed a lack of ambition we were saying it showed ambition that hes joining a project. Chelsea are gonna have a huge investment in there own project to try and turn around there fortunes- you could say he has ambition for trying to get chelsea back to there best

Chelsea? Project? Since when?

maybe they didnt say the word project, but its basically the same as a plan, which they clearly have- investment in new players, new stadium ?

dont be bitter about him not joining us ;)

Absolutey spot on. They've had one off season in the league yet still won two cups and people are deeming them as non-challengers. Chelsea are still a top team.

Haughtiness is an unattractive quality.
They are a top team, but they were still 25 points behind us in the League.

And there are 2 explanations for the deal falling through in the media
1) Agent's fee of £4.8m
2) Players wish to play regularly

If this is right, it's good that we feel able to stand our ground. We will be stronger for this and it ensures players come here for the right reasons

Yep, RVP especially, a lot of effort going on him at the moment

Hmmm, underwhelmed by that.

Yeah he had a good season, but it's the first season where he hasn't been injury prone and he's 29.

Plus I doubt he'll come to us, a couple of decent signings by Arsenal and I can see him staying. So it could be a lot of wasted time on him.

Cavani is who I would want, but maybe this is too championship manager of me.

Nothing to do with Champ Manager fella, Cavani is very much on our radar but it's got a lot to do with movement in the market our end.
Do you think Spurs cab be persuaded to sell Bale. Think he'd have to request a transfer to make that happen, and if Bale left, would Adebayor still want to join them?

Spurs must have alternatives to Adebayor?

Yep stops us from being bullied. Good luck to Chelsea and Pep Guardiola (if true). It will be a very interesting season.

It would not be suprised me that Guardiola is the Chelsea manager for the new season - he wants a few months off/ sebatical but the real reason for him leaving Barcelona was the fact of keeping up their new standards of success was too much for him to take, Cruyff advised him only to do 3 years, Guardiola needed to dismantle the squad to bring in new players for them to advance i.e Alves etc.. He felt that was the job of a new manager!

What happens though if Hazard does not get along with his new manager?? Abramovichs biggest downfall is doing all the signings of players and practically trying to manage the team himself.

So he'll play against us in the Charity Shield then.

NIGEL!
