A friend of mine is a mad Hibs supporter. At the moment he is living in a world of deep unbridled joy.

Removing the sectarian aspect of this, it would be a little bit like us back in the day, hearing the rags were going into administration. You could guarantee there would be loads of wailing and teeth gnashing from the all-knowing pundits and national media, but the outpouring of joy from the blue side of town would be immense, and the sympathy non-existent.
Hibs supporters should realise that Hearts going to the wall might be funny in the short-term, but it would be harmful to their own club in the longer term.

The sectarian part of Hearts and Hibs is overplayed.Sure both clubs have the usual hangers on but it is nothing like the 70's and early 80's or Celtic or Rangers.
The days for Hearts being pro Rangers and Hibs pro Celtic are long gone.
Hibs would of course miss Hearts but the results Hearts have had over the years there would be a lot of celebrating from the Hibs fans, Sundays defeat was the last straw for them.
ScottishCup semi defeat, their league cup win celebrations game defeat, Sundays relegate Hearts and have a party defeat, Hearts 16 and 22 games unbeaten runs and the 5-1 Scottish cup final defeat.

Yes they would, Hearts are the 3rd biggest club in Scotland after Celtic and Rangers, the lower league clubs will vote them in for the same reason they voted in Rangers, increased gates and tv money while they share a division, Rangers/Hibs will also vote for them, Hibs because they need the Derby games, Rangers because there's good relations between the two clubs and Hearts tried to vote them straight back into the SPL, A few other SPL clubs are likely to as well (Celtic, Inverness CT, Motherwell etc)

I wouldn't say Rangers and Hearts have good relations or tried to get them back in the SPL, in fact the complete opposite.

"The opinion of Heart of Midlothian FC in regards to the current situation of Scottish football is clear and robust.

"The football mafia represented by former owners of Rangers FC and Rupert Murdoch's media are to blame for some of the worst problems to hit Scottish football and must not be allowed back in under any circumstances.

"As regards the club itself, we can only express our deepest condolences to its supporters, who have been lied to for so many years.

"It had to happen sooner or later. Victories were achieved not by sporting merits, but through slander, conspiracies amongst players and their poaching via third parties, unfair pressuring of referees, who in themselves are as valuable to the fabric of football as the football stars themselves.

"All of this brought hollow victories and destroyed football. We can also mention the attempts to eliminate Hearts with the help of the tax petitions, through false accusations and threats to revoke the club license. There is a saying about digging a grave for someone: you get it for yourself …

"Without these people football will become cleaner and stronger. Without Murdoch the whole of society will improve, in particular sport and culture.

"Supporters deserve a new beginning and have to accept the fact that their club has to start from the lower league, keeping order in the SPL and without creating unfair competition with other clubs.

"As regards the pitiful state of Scottish football finances, a lot of the blame should be placed at the doors of Murdoch's media. They pay huge sums to English clubs, whilst in Scotland, where football is better supported per capita than anywhere else in Europe and there are more cable or Sky subscribers per capita than in England, clubs receive peanuts for their broadcasting rights.

"At the very least this is discrimination and protectionism for the English football product, which at the same time stunts the development of the game in Scotland, that is regarded as the cradle of football.

"I feel that it is absolutely realistic to create a company that would bring to Scottish clubs at least the same broadcasting income, and even grow it by 50-100% over the next two to three years. This company should be in the hands of Scottish clubs and work with those who want to earn money the honest way, instead of conducting business the Murdoch way.

"They have lived beyond law and all morals, and should now be declared beyond the pale. A society that allows the destruction of integrity in sport, which is a crucial part of Scottish culture, is destroying itself - and all for the benefit of a media aborigine."
If you read that, it was an attack on the old Rangers board and a message of condolence to their fans, Rangers and Hearts have very similar fan bases albeit in different cities.

I can assure you as a Rangers fan there will be no sympathy for the Hearts cause from many if at all any Rangers fans.
Sure, there was some sort of sympathies in the past between some of the 2 groups of supporters but that is very much in the minority now.

The Hearts board and the majority of fans were only too happy to see Rangers go under, and I'm afraid that would only be reciprocated now. Rightly or wrongly most Rangers fans have a strong dislike of anyone that hurt them, from David Murray, Craig Whyte, to the SFA & SPL. Theirs not been as high a feeling of animosity as their is now between Rangers and teams such as Dundee Utd and Hearts even, and it goes both ways. Lots of rival fans still throwing jibes out such as calling them a new club, Sevco, The Rangers, Zombies etc. Some Rangers fans are already claiming they won't set foot on any away ground when they get back up to the SPL.

Over the top in my opinion but it shows you the strength of feeling that exists up here just now.

Anyway, we've still got our own problems to worry about. We've got a board to try and overthrow lol!

And I can assure you that the green side of Edinburgh will not be sad. A club that has run itself into the ground cheating it's way there deserves all that comes to it.

So what they should be let off with it? Continue to cheat and prosper whilst honest clubs get beat by them? I don't think so.

They might not be voted into the league unlike Rangers and even if they are they'll drop to the 4th tier. I feel sympathy for Hearts and any other club that gets into serious debt difficulty.

Except, Arsenal, Spurs, Rags, Dirty Leeds, Stockport Cunty and Rangers.

From an outsider's viewpoint that's fucking pathetic. Like the kind of deluded agenda shite I read on here.

The reason "Murdoch" does not give he same money to Scotland as to England is because the market dictates it. No one outside Scotland is interested in their football, whereas the premier league is enormous worldwide.
