If you read that, it was an attack on the old Rangers board and a message of condolence to their fans, Rangers and Hearts have very similar fan bases albeit in different cities.

I can assure you as a Rangers fan there will be no sympathy for the Hearts cause from many if at all any Rangers fans.
Sure, there was some sort of sympathies in the past between some of the 2 groups of supporters but that is very much in the minority now.

The Hearts board and the majority of fans were only too happy to see Rangers go under, and I'm afraid that would only be reciprocated now. Rightly or wrongly most Rangers fans have a strong dislike of anyone that hurt them, from David Murray, Craig Whyte, to the SFA & SPL. Theirs not been as high a feeling of animosity as their is now between Rangers and teams such as Dundee Utd and Hearts even, and it goes both ways. Lots of rival fans still throwing jibes out such as calling them a new club, Sevco, The Rangers, Zombies etc. Some Rangers fans are already claiming they won't set foot on any away ground when they get back up to the SPL.

Over the top in my opinion but it shows you the strength of feeling that exists up here just now.

Anyway, we've still got our own problems to worry about. We've got a board to try and overthrow lol!

And I can assure you that the green side of Edinburgh will not be sad. A club that has run itself into the ground cheating it's way there deserves all that comes to it.
oh deary dear bitter much :-)
the 9-1 hampden humiliations must really really hurt x

I stopped reading at this point.

I'm gutted that you did, I was looking forward to conversing with you since your post has added so much to the thread!

If for arguments sake Hearts went out of business today would the results against say Partick Thistle , Kilmarnock and Ross County stand? Kilmarnock took 9 points off Hearts, Partick took 4 as did Ross County.

I think they'd have to, it's too late in the season. When Monaghan United went out of business a couple of years ago their results were deleted as they hadn't completed the first round of fixtures, but I think when it's happened in Britain late in the season before the results have stood.

Ok, here's a bit more for you to ponder on.
Your team are a vile, sectarian apology of a club who should have been declared bankrupt both financially and morally years ago.
Your 'fans' are a bunch of ludicrous throwbacks who spend most of the game singing about killing Catholics and 300 year old wars.
You are about as welcome as Hitler at a barmitzvah at any English City unfortunate enough to host you.
If the Scottish FA and half of the fucking referees up there weren't members of the Orange Lodge, then you wouldn't exist, and the world would be a better place for it.
Now go wash your sash and practice your drumming.
Is that better?

Any need for that?

Which part of it are you taking issue with, exactly?
Some Rangers fan coming on spouting about financial impropriety?
Is it National Irony Week?
They are a loathesome club, but clearly for some bizarre reason you have a soft spot for them.
I don't.
So when one of their sarky orange halfwits comes on here he gets a reality check, because some of us remember the bombsite they left behind last time they graced us with their presence.

Yeah, that's better, glad for you got that off your chest!

Now, I wasn't "coming on spouting about financial impropriety". I didn't personally judge Hearts or their situation. All I did was to correct a very reasonable poster who suggested that the historic links between Hearts and Rangers would see sympathy between the 2 sets of fans. I then went on to explain that these weren't my own personal feelings, but the feelings of a lot of the general support, a view that I happen to disagree with.

So instead of ranting and raving, maybe if you didn't stop at the first line and read the full post you might understand that!

Oh, & funnily enough, the support has been down to Sheffield and Derby and Arsenal in recent years and were well received. As for the SFA and referee comment, you do know that Celtic's chief executive is now on the SFA board, for starters. Also, another interesting wee fact that the large majority of the high heads at Greater Glasgow Council are 'Celtic Minded' which have allowed them some curious decisions with regards purchasing land surrounding Parkhead for ridiculously low rates which are now under investigation.

What happened in Manchester was highly regrettable but when there's over 150k supporters descend on a city for a European final that is within driving distance then I'm afraid that it will attract several of the lesser types, especially when they have ben drinking all day. The part that GMP played in deciding to deliberately switch of screens minutes before the game didn't help, but that's no excuse. Most decent Rangers fans were ashamed by the behaviour of that few but I said, the venue was able to attract lots of lowlife that normally have little interest in football. I should know, I was there. I don't want to get into a debate over Rangers or Manchester on a Hearts thread so i'll leave it at that.

I'm away to iron my sash that I don't actually own and bang my own drum!
