Seeing it as a commuter if you're stuck in traffic and you see that plume of smoke, yes it will be the natural thing to think in these sad times. Hit a tower crane on a building mate.
Its pretty foggy/misty in London this morning, the pilot just wouldn't have seen it.
There was a helicopter pilot interviewed on Sky News and he said that the navigation into Battersea Heliport is all visual.
