Not funny.

No but what would have been your first thoughts if you were on your way to work close by?

Can't see the pilot or the occupants of the cars standing much chance sadly.
Seeing it as a commuter if you're stuck in traffic and you see that plume of smoke, yes it will be the natural thing to think in these sad times. I don't think Horshamblue was referring to that though, although I may be wrong.

Actually it's only yards from MI6's building. There's also a helipad about a mile or so away in Battersea, which I assume it might have been heading for.
MI6s building and the newAmerican embassy right near, but no its a tragic crash in the fog nothing more, witnesses said the heli was all over the place coming in over the Thames

Its not windy today even near the river so have to think there was a problem with it

Hit a tower crane on a building mate.

Its pretty foggy/misty in London this morning, the pilot just wouldn't have seen it.

There was a helicopter pilot interviewed on Sky News and he said that the navigation into Battersea Heliport is all visual.

Yeah I know but the crane would be lit up especially around there its crazy busy with helicopters. Didn't seem that foggy to me then again I wasn't 300ft in the air.
Also reports he was all over the place so unless he was pissed would have to say mechanical
