Help re doves gig

It is up to individuals to do as they wish with the tickets they have claimed for free however, it is against ebay policy to falsely state the face value of an event ticket in an ebay listing. Only one of the current twenty sellers have listed the face value as £0.00, the rest are listing values from £9.99 to £40. These listings should be removed under ebay policies. I personally don't agree with selling the tickets on. I'm sure there are genuine reasons for people no longer being able to attend after claiming the tickets in good faith however, I think its safe to assume that people also claimed with no intension of attending. To sell on the tickets on an open market could jeopardise future free promotions from MCFC, but hey, as long as they get to line their pockets at the expense of true fans, what the hell!

Meh, the only band I've listened to on the card is Doves, I've heard of Kid British but I've never actually heard them, I don't really care, it will be a decent night out either way.

This is their new one:

Oh,ffs get over yourselves.
People making a killing out of tickets for an event is hardly news - its called "capitalism" and, whilst I don't particularly care for it,thats the way the world is.
Nobody died - its a gig by a rather average band.
And if you don't want to buy tickets, then don't go on e-bay.
Not that difficult,really.

Just a quick heads up that if you are still looking for tickets The Answering Machine have some available at the following link:

You only need to buy their album for a tenner for a ticket. Plus it's actually a pretty good record. (I would say that I work with the band). But it did get the Manics to ask them to go out on tour with them recently so it can't be that bad. Oh and the NME gave it 8/10 declaring it 'genius'.

Here's another link to check out:

Sorry for the blatant advertising but we got given a few tickets for playing the gig so thought I'd point them in your direction.

p.s as a Leicester supporter I can confirm Paul Dickov is well.

Am I missing something here? Is this going to be a charity memorial concert featuring U2, Oasis and Coldplay in order to commemorate the lives of Mother Theresa, Princess Diana, and every British soldier ever to have died in combat with all proceeds going to Christies? Or is it just a little carpark gig hosted by a billionaire-owned football club and featuring some bands no one has ever heard of?

Who cares if people are making money out of it? If you really wanted to go, surely it wouldn't be that difficult. And if someone is willing to pay 60 quid to watch it, then more fool them.

It's hardly a new phenomenon, now is it?
