An Omniscient god knows everything, past present and future.
An Omnipotent god can do anything.
He makes everyone, he makes all facets of them and because he is omniscient he knows exactly what they will do in their whole lives, even before he makes them. And because he is omnipotent he has the power to make them different, so they would have different lives. He chooses which one he makes, he chooses the life they live and the choices they make. He knows all this before he makes them. If there is an omniscient and omnipotent god then free will is not possible as god has mapped your actions before he makes you.

That's because we know intelligent life exists with 100% surety, even if Bluemoon sometimes challenges this theory. It is therefore easy to extrapolate. We are an unremarkable planet orbiting an unremarkable star and therefore by sheer overwhelming probability there is a very high likelihood that intelligent life exists elsewhere. However, yes, intelligent life is certainly far rarer than some would have us believe. If it was common we'd know about it. There would be evidence of alien civilisations for us to see. Science makes good predictions based on maths and models all the time, it's not that remarkable. We've been predicting the existence of various particles for a long long time. The Higgs Boson being the more recent and huge success.

My problem with religion is that it's quite narcissistic assuming that humans are significant in any way. I also hate that people are categorized because of it.

You either believe in fanciful fairytales without any shread of proof, or you don't believe in fanciful fairytales without any shread of proof. You can't pick and chose. How exactly have you come to the conclusion that ghosts exist but God doesn't?!
