Heywood, nice enough?
Judging from what my Grandmother has to say and pictures she has saved it looked decent with new housing areas in the 50's/60's but it's been a complete scrotehole since the late 80's/90's
Have a walk around Back of the moss and Darn Hill, some parts of the Summit are scummy as wel now....
Far from a nice enough place, always been the dumping ground for other council areas to rehouse problem families.
My Nan's house is like a palace on her estate, surrounded by drug addict wife beating scumbags, problem child scrotes vandalising the area.
You know your in a shithole of an area when everyone refers to my Nan's place as the "posh house"
Posh house in Heywood = Front door still attached to its hinges and only 1 broken window ;)
some parts of the Summit are scummy as wel now....
I have lived in Heywood for 42 years and live on the summit and have a front door still attached to its hinges and NO broken windows
Not as bad as you are making it out to be

I used to watch "exotic dancers" on a sunday afternoon in a pub in darn hill. I think it was called the criterion.squirtyflower said:Darn Hill, the Summit, aaaaahhhh brings back such happy memories

Thank you. I had a few Mates based up there and it was alright. None of them ever complained about the type of scenes we're now talking about.
All the pubs round there were burnt out years agoanymore than 2sheiks said:I used to watch "exotic dancers" on a sunday afternoon in a pub in darn hill. I think it was called the criterion.squirtyflower said:Darn Hill, the Summit, aaaaahhhh brings back such happy memories
