Why? Because he played for the scousers and failed in a CL final?

People on this thread is suggesting the very overrated Jack Butland who is at this moment failing in the Championship.

But since I got my answer whether hes hg or not it doesnt matter. Id never have him take up a foreign spot. If were going the foreign route I would go for Rulli or the Ajax goalie. Think having 2 great goalkeepers is important, no need for Eddie to play all the cl group games for instance
 
Fraser Forster perhaps, currently at Celtic on loan from Southampton. 2 years left on his contract at Saints, take him on loan from the summer. Celtic understood to not want to take him permanently as they can’t afford his wages. Not exactly a ball playing keeper but there isn’t any HG keepers I can think of that are ball playing. Temp stop gap until we can fill the HG slot with a younger keeper willing to be no.2 to Ederson.
 
As selfish as it may be in terms of stagnating his development, Muric back as the number two next year would free up a foreign spot and I would feel comfortable enough with him being our backup. Wouldn't be great for him in the long-term but I mean I don't see anyone other than Ederson being our starting keeper for at least the next five seasons.

ok. I think Bravo’s shit , I’ve no confidence in him and that’s why I want to offload him. I think we need a better back up keeper (home grown) and I suggested one as is the theme of the thread. Where does appeasement come into it ?

I suggested we let the club decide what is best rather than appeasing you by bringing in a keeper who you believe to be better than Bravo

ok well let’s close the thread. The op was asking for suggestions and I made one. Sounds like your looking for an argument where there isn’t one mate!
 
I’d give corrigan or Williams a contract if we can offload Bravo in Jan and get a cb
