Mine has always been low but after a few months of soluble paracetamol it shot up to 160 /90, didnt know they are full of salt , stopped and had a twenty four hr monitor and it was back down to 110/74 , worth knowing
You’re right mate, I took Mrs H to the Oaklands hospital in Salford for a pre op around August last year and her BP was in the early 170’s so they cancelled her op until the medication got her back to normal levels. I think I had a bit of white coat syndrome but doing my home reading’s I never got below the 200 level until the meds finally kicked in, I’m very grateful to be here and hope anyone reading this will take heed. Thanks.Good advice but good lord I've never seen figures as high as that, in fact I've never seen anything within 50 of the 235 figure. I think you're a lucky man to be here to post all
My mate was on hormone meds for his Prostate cancer and they used up his daily salt allowance, really strange side effects of necessary medication.Mine has always been low but after a few months of soluble paracetamol it shot up to 160 /90, didnt know they are full of salt , stopped and had a twenty four hr monitor and it was back down to 110/74 , worth knowing
Yeah, it is worth getting a home monitor and telling the surgery if it is high , all kinds of things can play havoc with blood pressure , i got dehydrated recently and it was below 100/70, sometimes as low as 60/50 and i was as dizzy as fuck , had a drip and now i drink plenty and it is ok againMy mate was on hormone meds for his Prostate cancer and they used up his daily salt allowance, really strange side effects of necessary medication.

thats very high mate, see a doctorI have been looking at mine recently and it seems to be aroubd 175/95.
That says it all really, I just hope Blues on here take the advice and spread to family and friends, so important. I lost a friend who died from a heart attack two years ago, absolutely nothing wrong with him, had a pint and a laugh with him on the Thursday night, died Saturday night with no warning whatsoever.Spent my whole life with borderline low BP, then when I hit 50 it started to climb for no apparent reason. Been on daily meds for 3-4 years now. As other have said, take note Blues, it is a silent killer. Nothing betrays that more than the fact that, here in the US, on my health insurance, the medication costs me nothing whatsoever. The insurance companies have run the numbers and know it causes other, bigger issues down the road if not dealt with.
