Hobbies for the middle aged man

I'd have a go at that but I have the hand eye coordination of a stunned slug, fair play to anyone who can navigate its intricacies and make a fist of it.
tbf according to some on here so does ederson and hes a premier league footballer so i recogn you'll be okay

The best answer is fishing. Keeps you very fit lugging all the gear about. Gets you into the great outdoors. Is more ‘mindful’ than meditation. Great for wildlife watching. Meet er interesting people. And you might catch something. It’s all good.
This is my plan in retirement. I like the outdoors and I like peace and quiet. Not fished since I was a kid but loved the solitude of it. The bit I didn’t like so much was catching one so need to overcome that! :-)

That’s definitely an expensive one! I’ve recently been on a couple of dates from cupid, and honestly, I find the whole dating scene kind of exhausting. It’s not just the emotional energy it takes — all the back-and-forth conversations, the planning, and trying to make a good impression — but also the time and money. Every restaurant or outing feels like it has to be something special or different to stand out, and that adds up fast.

Yoga , great for the mind and body
Also try a sound bath, very soothing

I am currently bidding at auction on a 20” cannon barrel, in the hope of building a gun carriage for it if I win it.

Its allegedly a 19th century functional signal cannon - bit of wood and some hen house or shepherds hut wheels, it’d make a “large mini” cannon which I reckon would be cracking in my garden.

Saw similar a while ago, but didn’t want to pay £1100 for it (had a 22” barrel)

Well that's a bit fucking random it sort of kicks my 3 silver proof 2015 pound coin set into a cocked hat :)

Does the cannon have to be decommissioned ? how do you even deliver something like that?

Apparently as a 1 1/2 inch bore it’s classed as “Antique / obsolete calibre” but I started out by collecting a few cannon balls, 32lb down to musket shot and there is deffo a couple of 1.5 inch balls in there - for display purposes only of course ;)

Hoping to courier it to me, thinking to keep the cost under £200 to buy and get it in my mucky paws

Once it's restored will you be doing any test firing runs towards M16 0RA?
