So the only absentees are Bravo, Delph, Mendy and De Bruyne.

Some German thoughts on TSG Hoffenheim:
Dietmar Hopp, billionaire and software company SAP founder, has been investing about 250m € in the club.
Small fanbase.

Coach Nagelsmann (31) already signed to leave for Leipzig next summer.
Clever young fella, playing aggressive attacking football.

In the Bundesliga regularly a strong home team, quite poor away.

We can expect a 3-5-2, high pressing and sitting deep in exchange, not going for possession, but fast breaks on the wings!
Just a very bit like dippers. But cool down, they're not in the best form, several key players missing.

Austrian Grillitsch their man in midfield, watch out.
Nico Schulz as LWB also a threat.

If we can put pressure on their defence by quick runs in the channels their defence might have big problems.

Their first CL home match against a giant. That's their setup.
We have to be confident and aggressive from the start, then I have no doubt City win.

Even a draw wouldn't be a disaster in the CL group. But not ideal thinking about Sunday...

Not winning could be a problem in what is a trickey group now after the initial loss. All this crap from everyone and his dog saying we will still top the group without a problem is exactly that. We might but we might not and if we lose and lyon win I doubt we will yop the group.

And after watching some of the Hoff game against Shaktar it's clear they will present a fair attacking threat. We should however create plenty ourselves so as long as we finish well I expect a win. Trouble is we don't always finish well.

Hoffenheim captain Kevin Vogt out injured is a blow for their defence.

Nagelsmann talking his team up: "Everyone who plays tomorrow will be brave on the ball."

I hope Leroy (maybe Gündogan too) gonna show what beast he is on German soil...

Important to approach this match fully focused and not be distracted by Liverpool 5 days later. Full strength for me with Sane / Aguero / Sterling up top

KOMPANY: I would love to win the #UCL with City, but I’m realistic and it’s so tough. Across europe there are six or seven other teams that are thinking the same. We have to deal that we lost to Lyon before we think of winning the competition.

KOMPANY: I’m a player of this wonderful Club and I have the same duty as every other player, and that’s to play my best until the last day of my contract.

Vincent Kompany, out of contract next June, says at the pre-Hoffenheim presser that now isn't the time to discuss a new deal.
