Kramaric had a pretty good last season with 2200 minutes, 13 goals and 6 assists - the season before that with 2300 minutes, 15 goals and 8 assists.

It is difficult for an offensive player to come of the bench without the big trust of the manager - self confidence is always a big issue there, too.

But Nagelsmann has a very good hand for players - he is not just a tactics dude. He is a good squad manager, too. But sometimes still his inexperience shows - especially off the field...

But if you see their budget etc. - Hoffenheim should be somewhere in the lower to mid regions of the table - not twice making top 4 - especially as important players leave every season. Gnabry (only was on loan from Bayern) and Uth (went to Schalke for free) were key offensive players last year.

If the Lyon game hadnt happened I would be really confident, we wont be "playing the occasion" as used to be the case, too experienced for that, imo. Against Lyon we were tentative, very atypical for us and the fluidity was missing. I'm positive it wasn't complacency or lack of effort, but whatever it was , let's hope it was "one of those days" . There will be some adjustment as i expect Hoff to be on the front foot and we dont face that too often, then again we must have the fastest counter-attacks in football . Give it everything, Blues, cant ask for more

Hoffenheim were excellent 1st half against Shaktar and should've have been out of sight. 2nd half they looked a different side and were
lucky that Shaktar are nowhere near the side of last season.

Ederson
Danilo
Kompany
Stones
Zinchenko
Gundogan
Bernardo Silva
David Silva
Mahrez
Sterling
Jesus

I'd love to know why people leave Walker out ?

Its not a league cup tie.

Or play Mahrez ahead of Sane so that Sterling has to play left, that's exactly why we lost to Lyon.
Or put danny in after an injury layoff instead of our best RB,it has been shown time after time raz one side and sane the other we play our best football

Big big game on Tuesday. Hoffenheim lost at home today against RB Leipzig 2-1.

I would expect something like this:

...................Ederson.............
..Danilo....Stones...Kompany...Delph
................ Fernandinho............
..........Gundogan.....Bernardo.....
..Sterling.........Aguero.........Sane.....
Lol!!!

Sorry I'm not totally clear on why we lost to Lyon.
Not playing Walker?
Playing Mahrez Ahead of Sane?
Or Sterling playing on the left?
