Hoffenheim away travel

i'm looking at trains after the game and in previous CL games at your place do the authorities hold back the away fans?

We don't normally get held in for German aways.

There is a pen outside the away end where I am hoping there will be buses to take the away fans to Sinsheim (Elsenz) station or one of the other stations. Should be similar to Mönchengladbach.

The majority of supporters seem to be staying in Heidelberg so you wont be on your own hoping for a train, but there are a couple of scheduled trains which we should be able to get. I think we are lucky to be the early kick off in that respect though.

@Wolle11 do you know if there are usually extra trains to Heidelberg/Mannheim that are added for football games?

Anyone looking at this and not sure about logistics, I’ve just booked Manchester to Frankfurt for £12 at 10am Tuesday morning. €19 train will get you to Sinsheim for 3pm. I’m flying back from Stuttgart the next day for £35 to Heathrow. From there I can get a train home to Barrow in Furness for £30 (amazingly). Stopping in Sinsheim so train to Stuttgart is €21.

Flight arrives 1240. Trains every half hour. Got all day to get to Stuttgart as flight is 1720 arriving into Heathrow at 1805. Train from Euston is 2030. Loads of time for everything.

Looks good.Heathrow to Euston could be a worry if border control is mobbed.

A friend of mine had to buy a ticket for yesterday’s just before the game as when he turned up his card didn’t work.
He assumed that the cup scheme auto renewed.
Apparently this is a problem other fans had yesterday.
Is that an indication of why the points have gone down so low if so many are not on the cup scheme?

Very surprised I got one with 14000 points especially as it’s costing me less than £100. Looks like it might go on open sale at this rate. Down to 5000 pts tomorrow.

Is anyone going straight back to stuggart after the game? Looks like the 6am flight back to Manchester is the option that we might be taking, long day yes I know
