Thank, looked at the app but still can’t find group tickets . All I can find is normal fares which come out at about 40 euros one way for the 2 of us.

We have a day ticket for 5 people 76 euros , the ticket is actually 44 euros but you can add upto another 4 peeople for 8 euros each and lets you travel any regional train all day as many times as you wish - here is the link

The Hessenticket would have been cheaper - 35 EUR - and it covers everything, too - as your match ticket includes the trains in the VRN-area and Hessen directly ends at the VRN.

Where do I get a Hessen ticket from and can I get it from Cologne airport to Heidelberg?
