The ST prices for next season will reflect the loss of matchday revenue for the rest of this season. CBL3 Platinum will be coming in at £7500, Bovril will be on sale on the CB concourses at £25 for a 15ml thimble and a meat and potato pie the size of a small button will be £45. Beer prices are being frozen but will be watered down with the addition of 99% spring water.
No fucking change there then !!

Unlikely that Spain or Italy will open up to Brits this year.

I reckon Spain will be open to Brits by Mid July. Might be a mistake but I think these countries will try to at least bring some money in from the summer tourist season.

Croatia and Montenegro where I should currently be are I understand keen to get their tourist industry running this summer. Montenegro are opening hotels and restaurants on May 18th.

O'Leary reckons they will be flying this summer early July probably. He said they will be discounting flights and hotels will be doing the same to get people travelling again.

If there are a load of cheap flights I will be having some of that.

Has the virus put anyone off going anywhere this year or are there many like myself will be off like a shot as soon as it is deemed relatively safe to do so?

I should have been in Bosnia now so want to get out to that neck of the woods soon. Problem is it will be fucking hot in July/August but as it is likely to piss down here all summer roasting in the Balkans is probably the lesser evil.

I've got two trips to Portugal in June and one in July, expecting the June ones to be cancelled soon but if they are deemed safe to open for business and i've got a choice between going or losing my money i'll be going.

Greece should be open to us from July.

I think much will depend on how much we have it under control by the Summer. Most countries will probably want to see our number of cases quite a bit lower before they'll welcome us back.

Hopefully by June/July, we'll be in better shape but if we ease the restrictions too much, there's a good chance it will just go back up. I guess that's the same for all countries.

Just received my formal cancelled holiday email from TUI.
Was travelling 25/5 for 11 nights.
Now awaiting the credit voucher and then i can proceed to request for my cash back.
I'm happy for them to take 8 weeks lets say for them to refund if that makes them stay afloat as we need as much options available for any future travel.

I have about £150 Ryanair and Easyjet cancellations, I am in no rush and will be flying as soon as I can so as far as I am concerned they can keep hold of the money for a few months.

Booked hotel & flights to Munich in September for Oktoberfest.

Well over a grand.

Bugger :-(

With the filters they have onboard you would have much less chance of catching it than on a bus or the tube. As you are in London do you use the tube? buses? How do you feel about using them?

I live in London but work locally so I don't bother using the tube. My view of travelling by tube is similar to my opinion on travelling by plane. We mostly stay within our enclave of North London.

Our CEO reckons 2023 before the new normal in the aviation sector and that will be a lot smaller than now. Possibly 25% service by the end of this year.
Thinks wage subsidy will be required for at least 12 months and most likely 24.

Fucking grim for anyone in the aviation industry and all those support industries.

Was supposed to go away today. Booked hotel and flight separately, opted for the refund on the flights about 2 weeks ago (Lufthansa), was told could take months. Hotel have offered a voucher for 12 months, didn't have to to be fair as it was paid up front and non refundable. Holiday insurance is useless even though it was booked months ago, they won't pay out on the hotel as we have been offered a credit note (even though that is likely to be of little use to us).

I hope so but given Majorca and Ibiza are not accepting UK tourists until August at the earliest, when I should be in Spain, i'm not sure it's going to happen. Think restrictions will be lifted September, when kids go back to school and less infection from locals and less visitors from abroad.

I said earlier in the thread that we're booked to go to Greece mid July with JET2 holidays
We've put down a £120 deposit and the balance is due 1st May

Wifey and I had a chat about it and decided that no matter what we're not going. Neither of us want to sit on a plane for four hours in close proximity to others wondering if we're going to catch anything whilst inhaling recirculated air, plus when we get to the resort it's going to feel really un holiday like with no real happy atmosphere and almost waiting to see if we end up poorly

What we have managed to do via the JET2 website is push our balance payment date back two weeks, so if they do say we're not traveling in July before the revised payment date, we'll be entitled to the deposit back. If they don't we're prepared to lose it

Not sure any country will want Brits descending on it in the next couple of months with our CV numbers.

How would the airport work and Social Distancing on planes? It just won’t work.

I had a phone call from Jet2 today about the holiday that was cancelled about 3 weeks ago. They originally asked us not to phone and they would write in date order. We decided that we would allow them the time requested and we were surprised that they rang to say that the refund was on its way. In the bank by Friday.

When were you due to fly, I'm waiting on a call too.
