Holiday advice

Jet2 have cancelled all holidays that were to depart up till 13th June

Our holiday is booked for 17th July, with the remaining payment balance due start of May

What I don’t understand is how they can put a date on this. As not only does it depend on the UK withdrawing lock down but also the destinations as well. So say Spain have a longer tail to this or a more robust approach they might not lift their restrictions.

Maybe cynical to say but this might be about people settling up their August holiday bills to keep them afloat?

The thing is even if deemed safe to fly, I'd not want to be in airports, breathing circulated air on planes, in a foreign country technically where an outbreak/lockdown could happen at any time etc.

A trip to relax in the sun would be more stressful than staying at home.

Egg bloomin sactly, stay at home and come to Wales, not now though as the natives are restless, we love you really and we want your money..

TUI are slow at sorting this out. My nephew was getting married abroad in early May and as you can imagine, hotels, guests, photographer, and everything else was dependent on getting confirmation of cancelling from TUI. They got it today....

I have/had a lads Euro's piss up booked in June for 5 days in Wales in Deganwy but that'll 99% be off the cards as well.

Could be....It's a difficult one, we rely on the tourist trade, as do most here in Wales, but it's a fine balancing act between income or common sense, fortunately common sense prevails. Ironically there are signs all over the place telling tourists they aren't welcome, go home, etc etc but these people will be the first to scream poverty if the tourists don't come back. I think (hope) they will.
