Got an email from Easyjet today admitting we are entitled to refunds and that they will be offered but slowly.

My Etihad flights in 2 weeks have now been cancelled, and they have offered "re-book" by June 2020, or a "voucher to be used by July 2021", but not a refund, travel agent haven't yet told me, but they have told me they'll do the work to get the voucher if its offered. Going to contact my credit card company on Monday to try and get a refund.

A cruise, blimey. I think the cruise industry will be permanently changed for the worse with this. They get illness breakouts as it is so given the current situation i can't see consumer confidence ever fully returning. If it does retrn it will be very slowly.
People have short memories.
Once this is over, everyone will want to do all the things they used to do before this happened.

just that they will feel a lot poorer than they did before the outbreak. The hospitality market is driven by consumer confidence and that’s wrapped up with job security and also in this case a persons net wealth movement from pre covid to the ‘all over’ point you mention I.e pension values, savings etc

the mrs just said that about five minutes ago, going to put anything off now to at least this time next year
We were brought back a week early 3weeks ago mate £140 extra in taxi from east midlands the rep said we would get it all back but I don't think we will as tui are tits up.

Just read a scientific paper that suggests the waves of this will return quickly when social distancing is relaxed. The paper suggests this is not a "maybe" but "it will" due to the ability of the virus to remain unnoticed in people with it for extended periods of time.
Virus going nowhere until a vaccine comes along and mass testing, this time next year if we are lucky, people thinking we are going back to normal in a few weeks or months are deluded.

Not back to normal but I suspect borders will be open again and travel taking place by July/August.

It’ll just come roaring back leading to another set of lock downs if they do that.

Sorry mate don’t agree, if there is no vaccine, you will have to prove you’ve had it or got antibodies before anyone lets you in.
I’m not so sure you know. I think most countries will be keen, after the twatting the economies will have had, to get the holiday season as normal as is feasibly possible. How that will be done, I have no idea, but I think it will happen.

I hope so mate I’ve got a holiday in June I’d like nothing more than going somewhere to sit in my arse doing nothing for a week, oh wait I’m doing that now :)
