Don't know what you've read but it's not right.
Canary islands are not exempt.

Yes, I was posting the link to show that.
As I mentioned on previous page, the FCO advice and the DFT advice don't go hand in hand so it is a bit conflicting at the moment but ultimately anyone returning from any part of Spain after midnight has to self isolate on arrival back in the UK.
