what kind of problems? plane crashes, software faults at ATC?, i wouldnt worry about planes being sat on the ground they know exactly what there doing, if you have some spare time go on flight tracker and you will see the Ryanairs taking off at say Bristol doing a circuit and landing they do this with every plane in a set period

We booked our holiday to Greece last September, after having 2 holidays cancelled before that, if we can go can't fucking wait, if not it will mean the package holiday industry is well and truly fucked, can't see them surviving another summer like last year

Interesting that the EU has said 'approved' vaccine passports could be needed.

If they're not happy with AZ that could knock a lot of people out of being able to travel.

Just something to keep an eye on.

They are going to have to come up with a solution on what to do with France if that's true. The uptake is slow and it generally isn't popular amongst their population, the problems being reported won't help that and they love a revolution ;-)

The Mrs' family live abroad so it'd be nice for her to be able to get home at some point to see them safely. Doubt I'll bite the bullet on a holiday this summer, I intend on saving up a bit more and doing a good 3 weeker next year, if my employer allows it.

A pitot tube obstruction caused a fatal accident involving a Boeing 757 off Puerto Plata. In February 1996 all 189 on board died when the aircraft stalled following a loss of reliable air speed indication on the captain’s side. It appeared there was a pitot tube obstruction by debris from a small insect that was introduced in the pitot tube during the time the aircraft was on the ground (20 days). Mud dauber Wasps it was believed.

I hadn't seen that link but thanks for posting. It just seemed logical to me that there could be problems. As I said aircraft do not like sitting around. They may get the odd fly around, but nothing compared to flying regularly. I hope I'm wrong, and everything is ok, but I won't be flying this year.
