I can not speak highly enough about the lara barut collection at lara beach only 15 minutes from Antalaya airport. I think the area is crap but the hotel is outstanding. The Barut chain have other hotels in side which I imagine will be also good . PM me if you have any questions. I took my 10 year old twice and that's the only hotel she now says she will go to .

We’re going there in 4 weeks. Supposed to be good!

Anyone ever had jealous bastard colleagues when it comes to taking annual leave?

Been at my current place a year now and never known a place like it. Seems to be a culture here where those who don't take leave wear it like a badge of honour. We get 27 days plus Bank Holidays and can carry 5 days over, so I make the most of it. Whenever anyone books time off, others are talking about it openly like 'where's he going?', 'you've already been away this year', 'you can't have time off in the holidays if you don't have kids', 'surely you've used all your leave up?'.

Funny thing is, the actual gaffer seems pretty chilled out with you taking leave. I've never had any request denied. I've stopped sharing my plans with anyone as it's usually met with jealousy off several people, usually those in the highest tax bracket let's say, who only go away once a year with the kids. A job to me is a pay cheque and secondary to most other things in my life such as family, football, travel etc.

If I was you I’d make double the effort to rub it in to the sour faced twats whenever you take leave.

Yeah, you try building houses until your late 50's instead of delivering the post you tit.
P.S, I always laugh when I see how much holiday time you get compared to here.

My wife gets the same as you but she's been at the company for 20 years.

I never socialised with fellow workers.

I never have before here. I never give my personal number or social media to colleagues which shocks them but I'm a private person. I will go to work social do's in order to not be left behind when the bonuses and promotions come around. I'm apolitical but you have to show your face where necessary.

Recently been to the Hilton hotel in Dalaman. Hotel is great, food fantastic, Al carte restaurants great and kids club very good and hiring a gazebo on the beach was great with first class service all day . Not much around the hotel apart from the local village sarigerme but the hotel is that big we only ventured out once.

Its a top hotel mate . Has everything you need to have a good time . The only pain I had was pissing around with the app to book the restaurant's. If you get on top of that ASAP all will be good . Hoping to be there week before Easter myself.

Some people at my company buy holidays. Yes they pay hundreds of pounds out of their salary for an extra week or two off. We already get 24 days plus bank holidays

Pretty sure they get close to double the time off/ holidays in France and Italy than we do in the UK. That probably doesn't please the French Canadians.
