Holidays

Just got back from Rhodes absolutely stunning where we were. The locals couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely hotel with a couple of shacks serving food and alcohol separating the pool and beach. Clear blue seas.
We could eat outside the restaurant over looking the sea whilst watching the sunset . Rhodes old town was not far from us either. Great place to visit full of history .
Beeezed through Manchester Airport as well and had time for a few pints for once

We did 3 weeks in the south of France. Stayed in a few spots along the coast from Le Lavandou to Saint Tropez. First time driving down there but wasn’t too bad. Looking to do the same next year with a few tweaks to the itinerary.

Anyone off to Canada..they are bringing back random covid testing for tourists-with risk of 10 days quarantine..how strange
Just seeing this post (was up in the woods for a week at the time).
Random testing was stopped here (Toronto) as the airport was an absolute shit show.
Toronto Pearson airport was voted worst airport in the world for flight delays.
Lot's of people here are driving to Buffalo New York rather than go to Pearson.
I can't believe they have brought it back but it means I won't be getting on a plane anytime soon.
Last time I went anywhere was to Vinnies testimonial and we usually go away twice a year.

Thinking of booking Thailand (Phuket) in Jan, any advice welcome on the best place for flights and accom advice, want to be around the Karon beach area, people i have spoke to say to book your hotel yourself,i assume sites like booking.com

You'll probs get a better price on flights flying direct to Bangkok, and then getting an internal flight to phuket from there.

In Phuket itself Mai Khao Beach is a nice resort.

Cala bona is nice.
Very chilled and laid back.
Janet and John's is meant to be good for food although we didn't go.

Are you staying at the bonaire by any chance?
The first time I visited Janet & Johns's, his parents owned it and he was 3 years old! I love Cala Bona/Cala Millor, but have not been back for around 7 years.

Going to York fir a night stop and a two days, anything I should visit with a 9 year old?

Lovely part of the world.

Depending on when you going York maze is currently open but closes in a couple of weeks. Obviously the city wall walk is a must, I still remember doing it as a kid.

Dig might be a good one depending if they’ll find that interesting or not.
