Just got back from Faliraki, Rhodes. The heat was redicilous, saw plenty of city fans though
Spent a week in Miami before covid so I know South Beach very well.are you departing for the cruise from Miami,if so and your booking your own flights it would be worth doing an extra 2/3 days on South Beach prior to your cruise, hotels reasonable prices, just dont stand or sit still for to long as the local dealers think your hanging around for a dime bag
US dollars are fine mate I didn't use card machines as I think you get charged per transactionthanks mate, was also wondering about money, did you take dollars USA, or just a card and use the cash machine, i dont think you can buy the DR Peso in the uk?
Mestre is a shithole.Padova.
Florence.
Pisa.
Vicenza.
Bologna.
Brescia.
If going to Venice stay n Mestre.Better value and your Venice pass covers transport bus and tram as well as water taxis in Venice.
We had a good 2-bed apartment in Mestre two minutes from a tram stop. And no problem finding decent places to eat. Handy too if you're visiting other places (Padua, Verona, Treviso).Mestre is a shithole.Tr
It isn’t much cheaper than to stay on Venice proper and avoid the mind numbing tedium of constantly travelling to get where you want 5o be each day.
I’m in Mestre tonight. I flew in to Venice tonight too late for the train to Verona so am staying over in Mestre.
Christ it’s rough!
The European leg of the Cruise should be brilliant, think you have to accept the Caribbean stops are a bit the same but just use these as chill out days. If you’re lucky you may catch some City games on TV, last time I went about 7 years ago it was an International week and I watched a couple of England games on board.Just booked a Caribbean cruise for next April from Florida, then a cruise from FL to Rome with some nice European stops. 30 nights in all.
No idea how were getting to Florida or how were getting home from Rome.
Been to the Paphos area quite a few times but always stay at Coral Bay, just a few miles down the coast. It’s a great resort though, plenty of restaurants and the food and drink is great.Just booked 11 nights in Paphos, Cyprus. It looks lovely not been away for a few years. Roll on 2023
Off to Greek islands on Friday. Cant come quick enough
Which island? I ask as i live in Crete nowadays so if by chance happens to be same its bloody roasting right now so you will love it. If it is indeed Crete ill give you some places to visit and stuff if need.Off to Greek islands on Friday. Cant come quick enough.
There used to be a regular poster on here called Paphosmcfc or something, not seen him post for a while, but he was a decent lad and very knowledgeable about Cyprus, a chef too iirc, pity as I’m sure he’d have given you lots of info for things to do.Just booked 11 nights in Paphos, Cyprus. Each to their own but I have found Mestre good value in the past and very good links to Venice and other cities.Mestre is a shithole.
