Holidays

Just back from Hisonaru, 10mins away from Fethiye. Stayed in area few times since 90's.
Fethiye is very much 'bustling' compared to years ago, wouldn't choose to stay in the town now.
Hisonaru is inland and very 'tacky' imo. I stayed there for Aqua Park 2mins down Rd (food/drink extortionate, but park good).
Olu Deniz beach close by is awesome but can get busy, but due to expansion in area, traffic can be a right pain unless you go early morning.
Calis beach is OK, but that's all it really is, around the bay from Fethiye, which is a marina, unless you stay at the nice hotel around other side of the bay.
Elsewhere for beach, look at Icmeler....around bay from Marmaris, nice quiet place with decent beach, all noise is in Marmaris. Was a good, but quite a while back I stayed there though.
Icmeler is absolutely brilliant

Back from 5 nights Sorrento... Thought that was expensive till I had a day trip to Capri.
Blue grotto was great and lovely scenery but the prices were ridiculous there.
Pompei and Vesuvius trips were amazing .
Had a day trip to Naples whilst waiting for our flight . Was very pleasantly surprised, has wonderful view over the bay of Naples and whilst there's obviously Sketchy areas, after what Id been told I imagined get robbed as soon as we got off the train... would actually like to spend a few nights there to see what its really like .

Got back from a southern Italy (Puglia) and Amalfi/Sorrento coast hol a few weeks ago……last time I was there was over 30 years ago, but fuck me, full of yanks and expensive these days…

Girona Spain City Break,good ?
We visited from our hotel in Pineda de Mar a few years ago. Some good historic stuff including a fabulous city wall to walk. But 5 or 6 hours was more than enough. Can’t imagine spending a whole weekend there.

Visiting Antalaya in Turkey next month, taking the kids and mrs.

We are all inclusive, own section of the beach etc. But is there anything in area thats great for kids?
Whereabouts are you going? Been 4 or 5 times the last few years. Land of legends is worth a day out. Waterpark and rides there.

Take some Ukrainian flags and plant them on the beach to annoy the fuck out of the ruSSians

Capri is a joke now, spent my honeymoon there 22 years ago, amazing, went again last year, thankfully on a day trip and it was unrecognisable, mass tourism, tacky as fuck, getting ripped off in a cafe/bar, couldn't wait to leave !!

If you can do a day trip to the land of legend's theme and water park its well worth it , brilliant day out. Last time I went met Nicky Weaver and watched the FA CUP final with him.
