Holidays

Anyone been to Puerto Morgan in Gran Canaria? I like the look of it for an Easter break.
Stunning place. Nice quiet harbour with plenty of cafes, restaurants to sit, watch the world go by and soak up the sun. They have a market once a week there which used to be a decent walk round.

Just watch out for the potato and pea gangs. Basicillay they are a racket. You bet which cup (potato) the pea is under. At first they let people win. Then they end up putting more money down to win more. You then soon realise they start to lose. A crowd gathers round whilst one of them who pretends to be part of the crowd pick pockets everybody.

We watched it once from a cafe. The bar tender was telling us all about it.

Apart from that, everything else about it is very nice.

Thinking of booking a week in Lake Garda...May time for the Mrs and I...as a Xmas present.

Any recommendations/advice....is that a decent time of year to go?

Recently returned from 2 weeks in the Maldives (Komandoo) via Manchester to Singapore. Maldives still paradise but a lot has changed since we last visited pre world lockdown. Returned slightly disappointed. First visit to Singapore though and blown away by it , incredible place from what we saw in the very short time we were there and Changi airport by far the best airport I have ever used .13 hour direct flight an absolute killer in all honesty though even in premium economy with the excellent Singapore Airlines.
Yearly 2 week winter holiday in Teguise Lanzarote to look forward now in February, 4 hour flight a doddle now after the recent experience ha .
