Holidays

Sounds like they are having tourists over. I stayed in two resorts in Kefalonia, Skala and lixouri both the same prices. It was about a euro a beer and 1.5 a cider in the supermarkets, about 8.50 a mousaka and 3 for a gyros im restaurants.

Currently in Portugal about 1.20 for a bottled beer here.
we thought same mate, its €7 for a gyros they’re good tho!! its €7 for a can of koppaberg!!!

Apparently they have built a cable car/ chair lift to the top of babadag 1700 ms .lots of good trips . sure you will enjoy it !
The cable car is a great trip..but if you want to go to the very top of Babadag the last part of ski lift wasn't running till after 1 o clock when we were there last month..
Definitely worth a trip. Great views of the paragliders jumping off..plus a great cafe/bar there but it gets very busy..might be worth booking ahead if you want to eat there.

Been of there twice . Will definitely go back for a meal.

Been a great, but very hectic summer. Loads and loads of regulars coming back for the first time in 2/3 years and I’m ready for my jollies when everything calms down in next month or so.
Will have week or two in Tenerife at end of September, then a proper break booked in November when I’m off to Miami for 4 nights, then a 5 night cruise which drops us back at Miami followed by 10 nights in my happy place, Mexico.
Been a shaky uncertain couple of years and it’s now onwards and upwards.

Was absolutely hammered when we were there.. beautiful views from the top..we walked up from where main lift stops...was knackered as it was a hard walk in the heat.
She was disappointed we couldn't get a table at cafe bar..but probably go back next year so will pre-book food etc

Anybody been to Marrakesh? Considering a few days at the end of January, looks spectacular but slightly daunting.

it’s dry so getting a beer other than your hotel or Riyadh is impossible

the square at night with food stalls is great. Would recommend staying in one of the western hotels just outside the walls and go in and out.

we stayed in a riyadh in the walls but walking home regularly followed back to pad. Had to square up to a ducker one night .

very different culture which you need to respect , as well as booze women need to dress appropriately and cover up or get hassle .

a very frustrating experience I would never go back.

was looking at it however we didnt go in the end, think your ok ouside of the city wall for booze, they have rooftop bars, beer can be bought in supermarkets but the tax is high, advised not to go at Ramadan as the locals come out at sunset and let their steam off and can get a bit naughty
