Holidays

The Tales of Hoffman is on at La Fenice while you are there.
A concert/opera there is not an event to be missed.
Unfortunately there is nothing on when I am there this time.
Went on a tour of the La Fenice opera house and ended up buying tickets for the royal box to watch the Opera the next evening. It was a great albeit expensive experience but think my wife enjoyed the opera more than I did.

Fantastic building though and one I would recommend anybody to visit while in Venice.

Currently sat on a sunbed in playa de las Americas doing absolutely f### all apart from reading Bluemoon
It’s scorchio !!

Lots of offers doing the circuit if you can disappear last minute. Just seen a cheeky week in in Praia De Rocha for £142 for seven nights self catering including 32k of luggage ,transfers and a rep to hold your hand. Pleasant town is Praia offering reasonable temperatures for this time of year.

Going to Estepona on Thursday for 10 nights.

Will be out there for the Dippers game.

The only sports bar near our accommodation is an Irish bar, which will be full of their lot!

If anyone knows of any others in the area, suggestions welcome!

There's an Irish bar called Healy's at the marina which has always had a few city fans in.

Is this with TUI? Have you got any tips or destination recommendations for Jan/Feb?

Jet2 mate and flying from Manchester. Join their saving club online and then enter their code at checkout to get £60 extra off the base price. There's a holiday going in 2 days costing at £141 pp to Armacoa de Pera for seven nights and the weathers banging at the moment with a highs of 24c.

If anyone's looking to get away cheap this Christmas, then 14 nights self catering on the 16/12 in Praia De Rocha is only £270pp. Obviously the weather will be hit and miss, but still warmer than back home in Blighty. We did three weeks in Benidorm last Christmas and it was unseasonably hot throughout with highs of 23c, I guess you pay your money and take your chance, but weathers not everything .. is it?

Unsure where your after for Jan/Feb, but if like us, your easily pleased, then a week in Benidorm in January, seven nights self catering, can be had for £160. If you don't do self catering then the Marina hotel on the Gerona strip right next to Andy's bar is slightly more expensive at £200, offering great day time flights flights of 07:00 out/return 11:20.

Destination recommendations are difficult as it's down to personal taste/affordability. If you prefer long haul then there are some smashing deals to Thailand for 14 days @£1,000 or 14 days in Goa for £750.

loveholidays have some really good offers on, especially to Tunisia. £221 for an all inclusive week at 4* rated hotel Riviera in Port El Kantaoui on 1st of December from Manchester. Flight with Tui at 9:25am. That's a bargain and a nice resort for some winter sun.

Yeah the only problem is, you have to go to Tunisia.
