Can anyone recommend where to stay near Calais, say 2 hours tops ?
Depends which direction you are coming from if Paris/Rouen then Le Touquet and Wimereux are great places to stay the night and both less than an hour from Calais which unfortunately is a bit of a shithole nowadays, If Wimereux then the hotel L'atlantic is great and the restaurant was always great quality.

Thanks, looking to stay somewhere for a week within 2 hours drive of Calais (getting the ferry over)

Anywhere in Spain in August sun is madness……
You're OK on the coast but Andalusia anytime after May and before mid-October is madness.
Our last day after spending 5 nights in Seville.
Fook me never witnessed heat like this ever and I do like the sun.
On the other hand lovely city with many things to see and do.. Suggest just don’t do it in August.
Glad you enjoyed it despite the heat. My favourite city and criminally underrated. I've been twice in December (last Christmas) and February.

Ok it’s slightly more than two hours but Dieppe is a brilliant base, you can skip down to Fecamp and Le Havre or up Le Tréport and plenty inland, Dieppe is pretty buzzy at weekends as the Paris set use it as it is close by and there always something going on on the huge fields behind the beach, the marina is stacked with decent well priced bistros and bars not sure if you have a camper or caravan or looking for accommodation?

We do the trip over to the area a few times a year

Normandy has the best cider I have ever tasted btw

Really wanted a Villa but struggling, otherwise airbnb/house

Where should I look for good all-inclusive hotels for a vacation with my 5-year-old that have a kids’ club (not Turkey)? I’ve been looking at holidays recently too and ended up spending way too much time comparing sites. priceline actually came through with a pretty good deal on a package flight and hotel, which surprised me because I used to think it was outdated compared to newer apps. They seem to have added more flexibility now—you can filter down to some smaller boutique hotels, not just the big chains

This time tomorrow i should be checking into my hotel in Playa blanca, Lanzarote.
11 days of peace and quiet. Apart from the 2 kids and wife of course.

Got some cheap easyJet flights to and from Basel, so gonna get the train up to Strasbourg for a few days and do a daytrip to Colmar and Freiburg im Breisgau.

I've been lucky enough to travel around the world, Seville is the most beautiful City I've visted… the architecture/food/people are just incredible.
