Can't think of many and most would be silly money

Sturridge would be a good shout If Negredo were to leave. Would count as club trained so a definite plus for Europe, I could see him getting a fair few games. Dippers will want £30m I guess........

Caulker someone mentioned in another thread, but can only see him being a squad player (3rd/4th choice). Reasonable price maybe?

Westwood as 2nd/3rd choice, would he come back to us on this basis. Would count as club trained so a definite plus for Europe. Cheap (free).

Kids
Luke Shaw, Wilshere, Ramsay (is he home-grown?), Oxlade-Chamberlain, Barclay - I think most would struggle to break into the first team and would be really silly money for backup/potential, maybe Wilshere or Ramsay would be rotation options?

Our own

Lopes is knocking on the door
Guidetti - will be interesting to see if he gets a chance this year - the problem he has is Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo & Jovetic in front of him
Anyone know how Rekik did in Holland last year?
We've got Boyata but I've got the feeling he's only with us to make up some numbers - happy to be proved wrong though
Any other EDS possibly knocking on the door with Lopes?

Rekik, lopes are both player that could be the choices we need. I love them both as players with unique styles. Would rather see Rekik than nasty as a choice next season, adapting to Vinny, Mdm and benatia.

Bale
Sturridge
Fabregas
Ramsey
Vela
Shaw
Barkley
Henderson
Stones
Cahill
Redmond
Ward-Prowse
Lallana

That's the only ones I'd be happy with and most would be squad players.

Kun Aguero said:
Bale Yes
Sturridge Wouldnt do any better than Negredo or Dzeko
Fabregas Yes
Ramsey Luxury player rather have Nasri
Vela No
Shaw Only for Rotation with Aleks
Barkley in 1-2 years time
Henderson Not a chance
Stones in 1-2 years time
Cahill Yes
Redmond Sinclair Mark 2
Ward-Prowse 1-2 years time
Lallana No
Chamberlain Defenitly
Sterling 1-2 years time

That's the only ones I'd be happy with and most would be squad players.

This is where our Academy will play a huge part. There is no need or point looking for quick fixes.

Bale yes but not for the price
Sturridge no he's a nob and our strikers are fine as they are
Fabregas yes
Ramsey yes on ability but no because of injuries
Vela no
Shaw no
Barkley few years maybe
Henderson no
Stones few years maybe
Cahill no, don't see why he's rated so highly he plays for a defensive team so is always well protected, never really exposed enough to see if he's good or not- and for England he blasted the ball aimlessly away many times.
Redmond Hahahaahahaha no
Ward-Prowse few years maybe
Lallana no

Couple you missed
Chamberlain yes, England's best player by far IMO
Walcott yes, his finishing is improving and pace to burn. Rather sign him as a striker than that wanker sturridge.

Every time I start a thread it disappears off the first page of the Forum faster than Rooney and Gerrard when the going gets tough. This thread may well go the same way. However; I will clutch at straws.

Right now - Ben Foster. A lot closer to Joe; ability wise than most of you think. A fit Theo would be better than Navas and score enough to enable a nice wad of cash from the sales of Beast or Edin to teams outside our League. Apart from that it really is "wait and see".

A couple of years time - take your pick. Barkley, the Ox, Stones, Shaw, Chambers - I haven't given up hope on Phil Jones turning into a top player yet.

It is though very limited and the future isn't bright.
