Home grown players - any out there would improve us?

None immediately that wouldn't cost silly money, except maybe Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain (might take a year of first team action to reach his potential), or Ramsay (a gamble due to his injury problems but undeniably class. Vela could be worth a gamble if under 10mil.
Sterling may be brilliant but looks a bit lightweight for me and Liverpool have no reason to sell. Sturridge is proven class but he's playing in a system with fast counterattacking players and I'm not entirely sure he'd do as well here until we get another couple of wingers. Worrying how I've named 6 players and they come from 2 clubs.
We're best off getting some decent and relatively cheap squad players such as Caulker and buying world class foreign players, just until we get the academy up and running anyway. They're cheaper than average English players and far better as well.
 
Will Hughes and Jeff Hendrick are 2 players I can see coming from the championship and do something in this league. Not saying they are going to be City quality but they could do a job for a team.
 
Does Forster count as a HGP? Not saying he would improve us I was just wondering if he is or not.
 
Fabregas.

Utterly dismal decision not to outbid Chelsea for him, as bad as not going all out for RVP and letting the rags get him. If we'd gone balls out for those two when they were available no one in this league could touch us. I blame Platini the cheating fucking rag-loving ****.
 
He wouldn't improve us now but how good is that George Evans? All i know is he got on the bench a few times and scored a peach on his debut for Crewe. Is he good enough for the future? Same applies for James Horsfield and Ashley Smith-Brown.
 
Problem is the ones that would improve us aren't available. If we offered 50m for Barkley we could probably get him but that's an awful lot of money for potential. Shaw is another one. Might be a very good player down the line. But 30m for a LB? That would be a world record transfer for a FB and seeing as how he's not even in the top 20 of LB's that's insanity. Fabregas has gone to Chelsea. Arsenal won't sell Ox, Walcott, Wilshire or Ramsay unless they get to the final year of their contract and refuse to re-sign and Walcott just re-signed last year. Sturrage wouldn't move away from Liverpool because he's guaranteed games with them and wouldn't with us.

Just not a lot of elite quality available.
